An independent guide with nothing to sell
CanDo Loans is a plain-English publication about how loans work in Australia. We explain personal, car, boat and business finance so everyday Australians can make their own decisions with clear information. We are not a broker, a lender or a financial adviser, and we do not arrange or recommend loans.
Why we exist
Search for almost any loan and you land on a page built to sign you up. Rankings are paid for, calculators quietly feed a call centre, and the important details sit in a footnote. It leaves people making big financial decisions with marketing rather than understanding. CanDo Loans is the antidote: education first, and only education.
What we do, and what we do not do
- We do explain products, define the jargon, and show you what to compare.
- We do cite reputable sources and date every update so you can judge how current the information is.
- We do not sell, arrange or recommend any loan. There is no application on this site.
- We do not capture leads or pass your details to lenders. There is nothing to submit but an optional newsletter.
- We do not give financial, credit or legal advice. Our content is general information only.
Our editorial principles
Plain English
If a term needs jargon to explain, we define the jargon too. Every guide links to a searchable glossary.
Sourced and dated
We reference bodies like the ABS, the RBA and ASIC Moneysmart, and mark when each page was last reviewed.
Neutral by design
No sponsored rankings, no affiliate pressure shaping the words. We describe products, we do not push them.
Honest about limits
When a decision needs personal advice, we say so and point to free, independent government help.
Who publishes CanDo Loans
CanDo Loans is published by NULLBYTE PTY LTD as an independent information project. It is funded to be free to read, with no paywall and no sponsored placements dressed up as guidance. If you spot something that is out of date or unclear, we would genuinely like to hear about it, so please get in touch.
General information only. Nothing on this site is financial, credit or legal advice, and it does not consider your personal circumstances. For advice on your own situation, speak with a licensed professional or use the free tools at moneysmart.gov.au.
